The parish of Simpceus is shown on the map by Cassini from 1750. The current parish church of Lasclaveries was built in the last quarter of the 19th century according to plans by the architect Auguste Poeyarré and consecrated in 1879 , as evidenced by the inscription on a stone in the choir .
