Labatmale ( Occitan : La Vatmala ) is a French municipality with 254 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Pau and is part of the canton of Vallées de l'Ousse et du Lagoin (until 2015: canton of Pontacq ).

geography

Labatmale is about 21 kilometers southeast of Pau at the foot of the Pyrenees . Labatmale is surrounded by the neighboring communities Bénéjacq in the north and west, Pontacq in the east and Saint-Vincent in the south.
