Many landlords followed: Casso d'Espéchède, François de Nargassié de Meillon, Gaston de Lagarde, and finally the Belloc family in the 18th century. At that time, the communal pasture had been broken up into more than 500 parcels, causing some uproar among the population.

In the 19th century, the community found the previous church from the 14th century, which had been dependent on the Order of Malta at that time , as too small and dilapidated. The floor plan of the long building has the shape of a Latin cross with a semicircular apse and a bell tower as an entrance porch. A number of the stained glass windows are the work of Mauméjean, a local stained glass company from Pau .
