Angaïs is a French municipality with 889 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Pau and the canton of Vallées de l'Ousse et du Lagoin (until 2015: canton of Nay-Est ). The inhabitants are called Angayais .
geography
Angaïs is located about eleven kilometers southeast of Pau on the Lagoin River . Angaïs is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bordes in the north and west, Artigueloutan in the north, Nousty in the north-east and Boeil-Bezing in the south, east and south-west.
