Craig L. Thomas
Craig Lyle Thomas (* 17th February 1933 in Cody , Wyoming ; † 4. June 2007 in Bethesda , Maryland ) was an American politician of the Republican Party and from 1995 until his death in the 8th Senator of class I of the State of Wyoming .
Thomas went to the University of Wyoming at Laramie and received his degree in agriculture . From 1955 to 1959 he was in the United States Marine Corps with the rank of captain. From 1989 to 1995 he was a member of the United States House of Representatives. In 2006 he was elected Senator for the third time in Wyoming, with 70% of the vote in his constituency.
Thomas died of leukemia at the age of 74 .
