Festival d'Animation Annecy
The Festival d'Animation Annecy is a film festival founded in 1960 in Annecy , France . It is the world's most important and largest festival for animated films.

It is one of the four international film festivals organized by the Association internationale du film d'animation (ASIFA). It took place every two years until 1998 and annually since then.
The films are divided into the following categories:
- Feature films
- Short films
- Films for television and advertising
- Theses
Several prizes, including jury and audience prizes, are awarded in all categories each year. A total of 32 awards were presented in 2018.
Cristal d'Annecy
The Cristal d'Annecy is considered the most important prize of the festival. Since the beginning of the festival in 1960, it has been awarded to the best short film shown at the festival. From 1960 to 1993 the prize was awarded as a Grand Prix , from 1995 to 2002 as the Grand prix du court métrage . The prize has had its current name since 2003.

The best feature film has been awarded the Cristal du long métrage since 1985 .
