The DAF Daffodil S was a two-door sedan built by DAF in 1966 as a sports version of the DAF Daffodil . It was only available in white and the air-cooled two - cylinder boxer engine from the Daffodil was drilled out to 762 cm³. With an adapted carburetor and a larger air filter, it achieved an output of 26.5 kW (36 hp) at 4500 rpm. The Daffodil S was Hfl 800 more expensive than the standard Daffodil. Only 500 copies were built as homologation models for rallies and car races .
