The DAF Siluro was a concept vehicle by Giovanni Michelotti that was created in collaboration with DAF on the basis of the DAF 55 Coupé .

The Siluro (dt. Torpedo ) was one of the first cars with a wedge shape. Like the DAF 55, the two-seater had a Renault four-cylinder petrol engine with 1108 cc and a DAF Variomatic transmission. It was presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1968 . After an eventful history, the only prototype built is in the DAF Museum today . After Michelotti's death in 1980, the rust- attacked car was initially parked in the garden of Michelotti's son until a car dealer from Germany bought it. The DAF Museum later purchased the vehicle and restored it, which took several years. In 2005 the Siluro was exhibited at the Amsterdam RAI and can be seen today in the DAF Museum in Eindhoven .
