Der Krach der Republik is the fifth live album by Die Toten Hosen . It was recorded during the second part of the tour of the same name in 2013 and produced by Vincent Sorg . The album was released on November 22, 2013 as a double CD and in a limited edition of 4000 copies as a triple vinyl on the band's own label JKP .

Cover

The design of the CD packaging and the booklet was the responsibility of the graphic artist Dirk Rudolph , who already designed the cover of the Ballast der Republik album and the tickets for the tour Der Krach der Republik . Rudolf took up again the combination of the national coat of arms of the German Democratic Republic with the German federal eagle . The booklet also contains a collage of concert photos, taken by Gregor Fischer, Carla Meurer and Paul Ripke .

Emergence

The album was recorded in the summer of 2013 during the tour Der Krach der Republik from the following appearances by the band: on July 13 at the Open Air trade fair in Freiburg im Breisgau , on July 20 in the Willy Sachs Stadium in Schweinfurt , on July 22. On August 28th and 23rd at the Film Nights on the banks of the Elbe in Dresden , on August 28th in the IGA-Park in Rostock , on September 6th in the Hans-Walter-Wild-Stadion in Bayreuth , on September 7th at the Mannheimer Maimarkt , on September 21st September 2013 at Rock am See in Konstanz and at the two final concerts of the tour in the Esprit Arena in Düsseldorf on October 11 and 12, 2013.

During the tour , the band Die Toten Hosen consisted of front man and singer Campino , guitarists Andreas von Holst and Michael Breitkopf , bassist Andreas Meurer and drummer Vom Ritchie . The recordings during the concerts were made under the direction of sound engineer Stefan Holtz, who was responsible for the sound throughout the tour. The mixing by Vincent Sorg and the final mastering took place in the Principal Studios in Senden .

Music film

On April 4, 2014, a music film entitled Der Krach der Republik - Das Tourfinale was released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc , which was made under the direction of Paul Dugdale during the two final concerts in the Esprit Arena in Düsseldorf. The video with a playing time of 125 minutes corresponds to the sequence of the double album, but also contains the pieces of music:
