Der Schloßherr von Hohenstein is a German silent film melodrama from 1917 by Richard Oswald with Bernd Aldor in the leading role.

action

The old father of Count Theodor von Westfried died and left behind a mountain of debts. Now the young count is forced to sell the noble family estate. Afterwards, no work is too good for him to get back upstairs. Count Theodor hired himself out as a violin player and as a manager for the landlord Weidner. There he finally found his personal happiness, because Margarete Weidner is quite delighted with the chevaleresque behavior of the young man from the class.

The five-act (1484 meters) film passed film censorship in July 1917, was banned from young people and was premiered in September 1917.

This strip is the second film in the Bernd Aldor series from 1917/18. The film structures were created by Manfred Noa .
