German Football Championship 1989 (women)

The 1989 women's soccer championship was the 16th German soccer championship that the DFB has hosted in women's soccer since 1974 . In 1989 SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach became the German champions in women's football . In the final they beat TuS Ahrbach 2-0. For the SSG it was the ninth and last German championship. Ahrbach turned out to be a surprise team, which was able to eliminate TSV Siegen and then FSV Frankfurt .
