German Football Championship 1990 (women)
The 1990 women's German soccer championship was the 17th German soccer championship that the DFB had hosted in women's soccer since 1974 . TSV Siegen became German champions in women's football in 1990 . In the final, TSV beat SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach 3-0. It was the second championship for TSV. For the SSG, however, participation in the finals was the last great success. For the last time, the German champions were played in this form. In the 1990/91 season, the Bundesliga was introduced with two groups of ten teams each. Laurel Rothenburgsort were the only participants who did not qualify for the new Bundesliga. The SV Bremen police were athletically qualified, but decided not to participate.
