The nineteenth season of the American animated series The Simpsons was broadcast from September 13, 2007 to May 18, 2008 on the US broadcaster Fox . The German-language free TV first broadcast was broadcast by ProSieben from October 6, 2008 to March 2, 2009.
The season was released on DVD on December 3, 2019 in the United States and December 5, 2019 in Germany.

Homer saves Mr. Burns from drowning in a fountain. As a thank you, Mr. Burns invites Homer on a trip to Chicago in his private jet. Homer desperately wants to fly in a private jet again later. Homer has the opportunity to become a safety inspector at a copper tubing company, where he could fly from company to company in a private jet. Before the interview, Homer quits his old job. But he doesn't get the job, but hides it from his family until Bart discovers Homer by chance at Krusty-Burger. During a trip with a private jet, he wants to make his confession to Marge. The pilot loses control of the aircraft due to drug use. Homer now has to land the private jet by himself, which he manages with the help of Marge. | ||||||||

The Simpsons want cheap food that doesn't take long to get in line. They then end up at a private memorial service, where Homer even acts as pallbearer. Homer sprains his back as he falls into an open grave. It is found that Homer can sing particularly well when lying on his back. Homer becomes a celebrated opera star who has to interpret all of his roles lying on his back. A particularly stubborn stalker even sneaks into the Simpsons' house and becomes president of the Homer fan club. When Homer but they rebuffed lets, forges plans for murder. At the performance of the Barber of Seville , Marge is able to prevent the stalker, disguised as a conductor, from murdering Homer with a poison arrow. Out of fear, Homer now decides to end his career as a singer. | ||||||||

Desperately looking for milk for Maggie, Homer ends up in Guidopolis. There he is towed away because he has parked incorrectly. He meets Louie, the Guidopolis tow truck driver. Homer sees the job of tow driver as a dream job, then he becomes a tow driver for Springfield.
Homer now tows almost all vehicles, including those of his friends. The springfielders band together to put Homer down. Louie is upset when Homer tows a car in his Guidopolis precinct. He throws Homer into a cellar dungeon, where other tow drivers are already imprisoned. Maggie manages to free Homer from the basement. |

When Lisa is declared "Student of the Millennium", Marge is missing. She is one of the hostages in a bank robbery. Dwight, one of the two robbers, surrenders because Marge promises to visit him in prison. However, Marge does not find time to visit him. Already traumatized by the fact that his mother dumped him in an amusement park as a child, Dwight finally breaks out and takes Marge hostage a second time. He tries with her to make up for the lost day of his childhood in the amusement park. | ||||||||

Heck House - Bart, Lisa and two other kids are practicing pranks on Halloween. After going too far, Ned Flanders turns the church into a hell house. |

Milhouse's parents remarry and spend their second honeymoon on a cruise where they fall into the water and are mistaken for dead. When Milhouse hears this, he begins to act like a real man. After all, his new behavior makes him more popular with his classmates, and Bart is against Milhouse being cooler now. Bart then brings the Danish uncle from Milhouse to Springfield, which makes him even more popular. Meanwhile, Marge doesn’t want to show her eyes to Homer, because Homer can’t remember the color of her eyes. | ||||||||

A new comic book store opens in Springfield, causing the old comic book store to close. Marge opened a fitness center for women there, which soon became a national success and made her famous. Homer is worried because he fears that her success will make her look for a more successful and better looking man. He tries to counter it with the means of cosmetic surgery. After another failed attempt at murder of the Simpsons, Tingeltangel Bob is arrested and brought before a judge. During the trial, he collapses and plays dead. At his own cremation, however, this turns out to be his plan to take revenge on Bart. At the last moment, the Simpsons can prevent Bart from being burned in a coffin. Homer loses memories of the last few hours after consuming a strong drink. While trying to reconstruct these last hours, brief memories lead him to believe that Marge is cheating on him with Duffman. Bart gets a new comrade in the class, who competes with him with his pranks and thus becomes more popular than him. He later turns out to be a "rat" introduced by Skinner. Meanwhile, Homer has his car repaired and gets a luxurious rental car that he no longer wants to give up. |

Marge is no longer so happy with Homer's weight and puts him on a diet. When she suspects that he is not following his diet, she sends sneakers (based on the show Cheaters) on Homer's heels. Meanwhile, Bart and Lisa believe they accidentally killed Martin after he fell off a cliff. While Nelson finds out about the two of them, Martin reappears. | ||||||||

Marge tries to become a ballerina. However, when she discovers that she is too clumsy for that, she tries to get Lisa excited about it. Lisa seems to believe that only passive smoking can make her a good ballerina and becomes addicted to cigarette smoke. During this time, Homer and Bart make friends with a raccoon family who live in their garden. The two want to free Lisa from her nicotine addiction. A performance by the ballerinas ends in disaster after Bart and Homer steal their cigarettes. | ||||||||

Lisa goes through the city's financial records and discovers that Springfield is missing millions in taxpayers' money. As a result, most of the tax evaders collect the money, the only debtor being the country singer Lurleen Lumpkin, known from an earlier episode. While the police try to find her, Lurleen stays with the Simpsons. There she is reunited with her father, who, however, sells her lyrics to the Dixie Chicks . | ||||||||

Bart joins the agriculturally oriented youth organization 4-H. He and Lisa then save a bull from going to the slaughterhouse and give it to the farm girl Mary. Her father Cletus mistakenly believes that this amounts to a marriage proposal. Homer and Marge then have to come up with a plan to prevent the wedding and at the same time save the cow. | ||||||||

He feels obliged to grant her last wish and to scatter her ashes over Lake Wastershare in Springfield Monument Park. This prevents a Mr. Burns rocket from launching and storing nuclear waste in the rainforests . | ||||||||

Lisa becomes Krusty's new assistant and quickly steals the show. She even gets her own TV show and wins the Entertainer of the Year award at the Springfield Media Awards. Meanwhile, Homer and Bart collect coins together. The last missing coin is bought by Burns at an auction , which can be stolen by a trick. |
