Dodi Lukébakio Ngandoli (born September 24, 1997 in Asse ) is a Belgian football player of Congolese descent. The winger has been under contract with Hertha BSC since August 2019 .
Career
societies
Lukébakio comes from the youth of RSC Anderlecht . There he played in the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons in the UEFA Youth League . In the 2015/16 season , Lukébakio also made 17 appearances (3 times in the starting XI) in the professional team in the Pro League , in which he scored a goal.
After Lukébakio had not been considered for the first league games at the beginning of the 2016/17 season , he switched to the French first division club FC Toulouse on loan at the end of August 2017 until the end of the season . There he came in the Ligue 1 season 2016/17 on 5 substitutions without scoring his own as well as a substitution in the cup .
After the unsuccessful loan to Toulouse, Lukébakio returned to Belgium for the 2017/18 season and was loaned to Sporting Charleroi . There he played 18 times (15 times in the starting line-up) in the Pro League and scored 3 goals.
At the end of January 2018, Lukébakio moved to the Premier League for Watford FC . He received a contract that ran until June 30, 2022. Under head coach Javi Gracia , he was substituted into the Premier League until the end of the 2017/18 season .
For the 2018/19 season, Lukébakio switched to Bundesliga promoted Fortuna Düsseldorf for a year on loan . Under Friedhelm Funkel he was used in 31 Bundesliga games (22 times in the starting line-up) and scored 10 goals, including a three-pack in a 3-3 draw against FC Bayern Munich on matchday 12. In the DFB Cup , Lukébakio scored 4 goals in 3 games.
After his participation in the European Under-21 Championship , Lukébakio did not return to Watford FC. On August 1, 2019, he moved to Hertha BSC within the Bundesliga .
National team
In October 2016, Lukébakio played an international test match for the national team of the Democratic Republic of the Congo against the national team of Kenya . In 2017 he made his debut in Belgium's U21 national team , for which he has since made 17 appearances with 4 goals.
