Dominik Bittner (born June 10, 1992 in Weilheim in Oberbayern ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Grizzlys Wolfsburg from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) since summer 2019 .
Career
In 2007, Bittner moved from the youth of EC Bad Tölz to the young eagles Mannheim , for which he went on the ice for three years in the German junior league, in which he was able to celebrate the DNL championship. In the 2010/11 season he was given a license for the Heilbronner Falken from the Adler Mannheim , for which he played in the 2nd Bundesliga .
In the 2011 CHL Import Draft , Bittner was selected 51st by the Everett Silvertips , after which the defender moved to the Canadian Western Hockey League . Since the DEL season 2012/2013 he has been under contract with the Adler Mannheim , with whom he became German champion in 2015 . In addition to his assignments in Mannheim, he also played for the Heilbronner Falken again in 2014/15, now in the DEL2 .
From April 2017, Bittner was under contract with Schwenninger Wild Wings and completed a total of 90 DEL games for the club. After the 2018/19 season his contract with the Wild Wings expired and Bittner decided to move to the Grizzlys Wolfsburg , where he received a two-year contract.
International
2009 took Bittner for Germany at the World U-17 Hockey Challenge and the Under-18 World Youth Championship in part. In 2010 he was promoted to the top division with the U20 national team , where he was also part of the German squad at the U20 World Junior Championship in 2011 .
