Christoph Höhenleitner (born August 10, 1983 in Dachau ) is a German ice hockey player who is currently under contract with the Grizzlys Wolfsburg from the German Ice Hockey League .

Career

The 1.80 m tall striker comes from the youth of ASV Dachau and began his sporting professional career in 2000 at TSV Erding , for which he played for two years. After a year in the Augsburger Panther junior team , the left-handed shooter moved to the second division EV Regensburg for the 2003/04 season . After he got four scorer points there in his first season , the attacker was able to record a strong increase in performance in the following season and scored 29 points. At the beginning of the 2005/06 season , Höhenleitner finally moved to the German Ice Hockey League at ERC Ingolstadt , where he was able to score two goals and prepare four more in his first season.

For the 2007/08 season , Christoph Höhenleitner signed a contract with league competitor Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg , for which he has been on the ice in the highest German professional game class. His greatest successes with Wolfsburg include winning the German Ice Hockey Cup in 2009 and reaching the DEL play-off finals in 2011, 2016 and 2017.

The striker is now the longest-serving player for Wolfsburg and started his 13th season with the team in the 2019/20 season.
