The Dubai Duty Free Classic 1991 was a snooker tournament for the 1991/92 season that was held from October 5th to 11th. For the third time, the ranking tournament took place at the Al Nasr Sports Club in Dubai .
Stephen Hendry , who won the first two editions, surprisingly lost his opening game. John Parrott and Tony Knowles contested the final this time. Parrott won the game 9-3 and won his first title as reigning world champion .
Main tournament
The top 32 of the world rankings were set for the main tournament. The players from 33rd place played two qualifying rounds, which resulted in a further 32 players who were then drawn into the top 32. The tournament mode introduced in the previous year remained unchanged this year.
