The 1991/92 season was the fourth regular season of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). The 15 teams completed 64 games each in the regular season . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Toledo Storm , while the Hampton Roads Admirals were able to repeat their previous year's success in the play-offs and won their second Riley Cup .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- In the course of a league expansion, the Columbus Chill were added.
- In the course of a league expansion, the Dayton Bombers were added.
- As part of a league expansion, the Raleigh Icecaps were added.
- In the course of a league expansion, the Toledo Storm were added.
