The nature reserve Egge is 53.64 hectares in size in the municipality of Steinhagen (Westphalia) . It is listed with the number GT-041 and is one of the younger nature reserves in the Gütersloh district .

It was designated in particular for the preservation of wild animal and plant species from woodruff beech forests , small-scale alder - ash forest and softwood alluvial forest .

In addition, there are heat-loving species of limestone semi- arid grass with the typical animal species.
