The nature reserve Knüll-Storkenberg is 78.94 hectares in size in the northern part of the city of Halle (Westphalia) . It is listed with the number GT-033 and is a FFH proposal area .

It was designated in particular for the preservation of wild animal and plant species from beech forests , an upper stream with a pond source, large sedge and extensively used (wet) grassland communities.

In addition, warmth- loving plant species of the herbaceous layer and limestone semi- arid grassland with the typical animal species occur in the light coppice forest . The area consists of two adjacent elevations in the Teutoburg Forest , the Knüll 254  m above sea level. NHN and the east of it Storkenberg 234  m above sea level. NN , as well as the meadow valley connecting them in between. In the Storkenberg area there is an open quarry that is included in the area.

There are several sights in the Knüll area. These are a single and a family forest grave, as well as the Kaffeemühle vantage point (see also Halle (Westphalia) ) and the monuments in honor of Walther von der Vogelweides and Hermann Hagedorn. There is also a signposted educational forest trail here. The Walther von der Vogelweide monument and the coffee grinder are stops on the Teutoburg Forest Laibachweg cultural path .
