The nature reserve Foddenbach-Landbach is an elongated, partly only a few meters wide area with a size of 86.87 ha in the area of ​​the municipality of Steinhagen (Westphalia) in the district of Gütersloh . It is carried with the number GT-038.

It was designated for the preservation of communities and habitats of wild plant and animal species and in particular for the preservation and development of near-natural streams and their riparian wood.

Both streams show a largely natural meander in the sandy subsoil and carry water all year round. The Foddenbach flows largely through forest areas and is accompanied by alder and black cherry - ash forest in the area of ​​agricultural land . Both streams are largely undeveloped and have near-natural bank structures such as steep banks, flat banks, sand and mud banks .

The Landbach is known as Abrocksbach before its influence in the area and also later . The 7 km long Foddenbach , also known as the Pfotenbach , falls in the nature reserve orographically on the right side into the Landbach.
