The Schneiker quarry is a nature reserve with a size of 2.148 hectares (and thus the second smallest nature reserve in the Gütersloh district ) in Halle (Westphalia) . The name of the area with the number GT-043 is the former owner of the quarry. Due to the quarrying, it contains a geological outcrop of national significance. The area is fenced and not open to the public.

Flora and fauna

Due to the artificially created valley location, the nature reserve is home to many warmth-loving plant and animal species, including several endangered tailed amphibians .
