Eichelburg is a district of the city of Roth in the Middle Franconian district of Roth in Bavaria .

The village is in the northeast of the Franconian Lake District , about two kilometers northwest of the Rothsee on a mountain about six kilometers from Roth. It is the highest village in the community of Roth.

The place was first mentioned in 1361/64. In 1632, Wartstein Castle, west of Eichelburg, was destroyed by troops led by Johann T'Serclaes von Tilly . A chapel was mentioned in 1717, but it was later destroyed. In 1820 Eichelburg was a village with 10 residential buildings and 49 inhabitants. A new chapel was built in 1854 and renovated in 1997.

Until the regional reform in Bavaria, a district of the independent municipality of Birkach , Eichelburg was incorporated into Roth on January 1, 1975.

There is a village shop and a lively club. The church fair is celebrated on the third weekend in July . Being close to the Lake Roth is next to the agriculture of tourism an important economic factor.
