Final round of the German team championship in chess 1955

The final round of the German team championship in chess 1955 took place on January 7th and 8th, 1956 in Lindenfels (Odenwald).

The Düsseldorf Chess Society from 1925 , the Freiburg Chess Club from 1887 , the Hamburg Chess Society and the Frankfurt Chess Friends from 1921 in the final of the 9th West German Team Championship in Lindenfels. Willi Fohl was the tournament director.

Harry J. Steffes (Freiburg press officer) writes in the Badische Zeitung on January 12, 1956 : "For the first time after the war, the German Chess Federation did not have the final round of the team championship held according to the usual mode of everyone against everyone , but rather according to the knockout system ".
