Ethan Rupert Pinnock (born May 29, 1993 in London ) is an English football player . After playing in English non-league football for seven years , he made the step into a fully professional league when he moved to Barnsley FC in the summer of 2017 . Since the season 2019/20 which is central defender at second division FC Brentford under contract.

Dulwich Hamlet

Ethan Pinnock, born in the English capital, London , began his football training at Millwall FC , where he played in various youth teams in the positions of winger and full-back . At the age of 15, he was released from the Lions Academy and joined Dulwich Hamlet in the Isthmian League . There he made his debut in the first team in August 2010 and was considered a substitute for the next few seasons. A surge in growth prompted him to move to central defense in the near future . There he established himself as an undisputed regular player in the 2014/15 season and won the election for the club's best player this season and the next. In his six years in men's football, Ethan Pinnock played over 200 competitive games for the South Londoners.

Forest Green Rovers

On June 21, 2016, Ethan Pinnock moved to the fifth division Forest Green Rovers . There, too, he was an important core member of the promotion aspirant in the 2016/17 season . On October 8, 2016 (15th matchday), he scored his first goal of the season in a 3-0 away win against North Ferriby United . He completed 37 league games in regular time, in which he was able to score three goals and qualified with the team for the promotion playoffs. In two games they defeated Dagenham & Redbridge with an aggregate result of 3-1 and in the final for promotion they beat the Tranmere Rovers 3-1 at Wembley . Pinnock was in all three playoff games and rose with the club for the first time in history in the fourth-rate EFL League Two .

Barnsley FC

On June 30, 2017, Pinnock moved to the second division club Barnsley , where he signed a four-year contract. The transfer fee was around the region of 500,000 pounds sterling suspected. He made his debut on August 19, 2017 (4th matchday) in a 0-1 away win against Sheffield United , when he came on for George Moncur at half-time . This was his only league appearance for a few months and in December 2017 he advanced into the starting lineup. On December 30, 2017 (25th matchday) he equalized the 1-1 final score in the 91st minute of the home game against Reading FC . At the end of January 2018, he slipped out of the Tykes' starting XI and was only used sporadically until the end of the 2017/18 season . He finished the season with 12 league appearances, in which he met twice and rose with the club in the EFL League One .

In the 2018/19 season , Pinnock was an undisputed regular player. He was on the pitch in all 46 league games over the full distance, took over the captain's armband in three of them and scored one goal. With Barnsley, he rose again in the championship as runner-up. He was named Player of the Season within the club for his good performance and was also voted into the PFA and EFL League One Team of The Year.

Brentford FC

On July 2, 2019, Ethan Pinnock moved to second division club Brentford , where he signed a three-year contract with an option for another. The media mentioned £ 3 million as the transfer fee. He made his debut for the Bees on August 3, 2019 (1st matchday) in the 0-1 home defeat against Birmingham City . After he was only used sporadically by head coach Thomas Frank at the beginning of the 2019/20 season , he broke into the starting line-up in November 2019. On February 15, 2020 (33rd match day), he met for the first time for Brentford FC in the 1-1 draw against Birmingham City.

National team

On November 15, 2016, Ethan Pinnock played an international match for England's C national team , a selection of amateur players, when he over the full distance of the game in the 2-1 away win over the Estonian U23 selection at the Tallinner A. Le Coq Arena stood on the field.
