Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon (born January 10, 1994 in Bomet ) is a Kenyan middle and long distance runner .

In 2010 she was fourth at the World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz . The following year she won the World Cross Country Championships in Punta and over 1500 meters at the 2011 World Youth Championships in Lille .

In 2012 he won the 1500 meters at the Junior World Championships in Barcelona . She had previously qualified for the Olympic Games in London over this distance , where she reached the semifinals.

In 2013, she defended her title in the junior women's race at the World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz and was fifth over 1500 meters at the World Championships in Moscow . In the following year she set a world record with the Kenyan quartet at the IAAF World Relays 2014 with 16: 33.58 min in the 4 x 1500 meter relay and won over 1500 meters at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow .

In 2015 she won the silver medal over this route at the World Championships in Beijing . A year later she won the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
