Flag of colorado

The flag of the US state of Colorado was designed by Andrew Carlisle Johnson and adopted by resolution of the Colorado General Assembly in 1911. The size of the "C" was not initially determined. This only happened in 1964.

The flag is in the colors blue, white and blue stripes and leads in the leech a golden circle surrounded by a red letter C to seven eighths.

The red C on the flag represents the first letter of Colorado . It encompasses a gold disc, a reminder of the region's Spanish heritage and the state's mineral resources .
