The airfield Donzdorf is a special airfield in Göppingen district . It is approved for gliders , powered gliders , microlight aircraft and powered aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of up to two tons.
Events
The Aviation Group Donzdorf organizes the Donzdorfer Flugtage once a year with motor, glider and model flying shows.
Incidents
- On May 25, 2004, a Grumman American AA-5 aircraft collided with a fence at the end of the airfield. It then crashed into an adjacent forest. The pilot and three passengers were slightly injured. Furthermore, a walker suffered minor injuries from parts of the fence flying around.
- On September 7, 2011, a Schempp-Hirth Duo Discus glider collided with a paraglider during a joint thermal flight . Nobody got hurt.
