The Rottweil-Zepfenhan airfield is a special airfield in the Rottweil district . It has an 803 meter long and 20 meter wide asphalt runway and is approved for gliders , powered gliders , microlight aircraft and powered aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of up to three tons. The airfield is also approved as a dropping point for parachutists and is operated by the Lemberg-Falken e. V. used.

Incidents

  • On May 7, 2000 a Cessna T303 flew to the field. After a normal final approach, the Cessna flew the first 150 meters of the runway , but did not sink any further after the landing threshold . Then it drifted to the left in a flat curve, touched the ground with the landing gear retracted, slid about 100 meters over undulating meadow terrain and remained 300 meters northeast of the square. The pilot was slightly injured and the aircraft was destroyed.
  • On April 18, 2003, broke Piper during a go-around from. As a result, she landed in an adjacent field and rolled over. Nobody was injured in the accident.
  • On March 8, 2013, crashed gyrocopter type Trixy Aviation G 4-2 RT about five minutes after the start about seven kilometers north of the square off. The 51-year-old pilot was killed and the aircraft completely destroyed.
