The Grabenstetten airfield is a special airfield located about one kilometer west of the municipality of Grabenstetten on the northern edge of the Swabian Alb in Baden-Württemberg at an altitude of 710 meters (2329 ft). The owner and operator of the airfield is the Fliegergruppe Grabenstetten-Teck-Lenninger Tal e. V.
Flight operations
Aircraft up to 2000 kg, motor gliders , ultralight aircraft , gliders , free balloons and airships may here after prior approval by the placeholder ( PPR start) and land.
Events
Grabenstetten airfield has already hosted the Baden-Württemberg state championships for juniors in distance gliding three times (1992, 1998, 2011). In addition to flight operations, other events also take place at the airfield. For example, the Fliegergruppe Grabenstetten organized an airfield festival until 2009. A kite festival has been held in April since 2007.
