Frank Lehmann (born April 29, 1989 in Balingen ) is a German football goalkeeper who is under contract with SV 07 Elversberg . In 2006 he played two games for the German U-18 juniors .

Club career

Career start in Schömberg

Born in Balingen, Lehmann began his active career as a football goalkeeper not far from his hometown, in the youth division of the TG Schömberg in Schömberg in the Zollernalb district . After starting his career there as a four-year-old in 1993, he worked through all of the club's youth teams until 2001, with the exception of 1999 and 2000, when he was deployed in the youth department of the cooperative club SV Zimmer in the community of Zimmer ob Rottweil . After he left TG Schömberg in 2001, he switched to the youth team at FC 07 Albstadt , which he left again in 2002 when he received an offer from VfB Stuttgart .

The time from VfB

In Stuttgart he went through all youth league classes and played with the VfB B youth team in the B youth regional league . With the team that won the championship title four times in a row from 2002 to 2005, Lehmann also won the relay championship in 2005. The 2007/08 season was crowned by another success in the U-19 Bundesliga , when Lehmann was the goalkeeper in 24 of the 26 league games and, after winning the championship in the South / Southwest season, also in the two semi-finals for the German championship guarded the gate, but was eliminated from the competition. That same season he was in the goal of VfB's second team in the 4-0 win against SV Sandhausen on the last day of the match . After a successful period, he changed on loan.

As a loan player to Frankfurt and Cottbus

Was after he had completed a test match for Eintracht Frankfurt already in the 2007/08 season, but not included in the team, the 1.91 m tall goalkeeper moved before the season starts in 2008/09 for the second team of Eintracht Frankfurt . With the amateurs was with 15 championship appearances in which he was in goal in every game for the entire duration of the game, behind Jan Zimmermann with 18 appearances and in front of Erman Muratagić with one use the second goalkeeper of the concord. With the team he made it to third place behind his future employer, 1. FC Heidenheim and Hessen Kassel . Together with two other players from the performance center, Cenk Tosun and Jürgen Mössmer , Lehmann took part in an indoor soccer tournament with the Eintracht professional team at the beginning of 2009, where he took turns in goal with Jan Zimmermann. At Eintracht Frankfurt he trained with the pros for the majority of the time and was also a substitute goalkeeper in the club's Bundesliga squad after Markus Pröll and Jan Zimmermann were absent due to injuries .

Immediately after his time in Hesse and his return to Stuttgart during the summer break before the 2009/10 season, another loan followed. This time he was drawn to Cottbus in eastern Germany , where he signed a one-year loan agreement with the amateurs of Energie Cottbus . For the Cottbus amateurs, Lehmann played 14 games in the Oberliga Nordost in the 2009/10 season and took turns with Marvin Gladrow in goal. At the end of the season Energie Cottbus II was eight points ahead of the BFC Dynamo champions of the Oberliga Nordost and was promoted to the fourth-class Regionalliga Nord.

At the end of the season and farewell to Cottbus, Lehmann was rewarded with his first professional assignment. On May 9, 2010 he came to his first professional league game on the last matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga in the 4-1 home win of the first team over relegated Rot Weiss Ahlen . He was substituted on in the 54th minute for the veteran Gerhard Tremmel , who played his last game for Cottbus. In the 61st minute of the game he had to accept a goal from Marcel Busch , but was also able to safely parry two shots from the opponent. Days before his professional debut, Cottbus coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz said he could imagine using Lehmann in the last championship game to bid farewell to Tremmel. After his loan contract with the Brandenburgers had expired, Lehmann returned to his home club in Stuttgart, only to terminate his contract there shortly afterwards and make another move.

Change to the 3rd division

In May 2010 Lehmann signed a two-year contract with third division club 1. FC Heidenheim. In his first year he was number two with the Swabians behind Erol Sabanov and only made five appearances towards the end of the first half of the season. Lehmann made his first appearance for the Heidenheim team in a league game on November 20, 2010 in a 4-1 win against Wacker Burghausen . In the 2011/12 season he ousted Sabanov and was a regular goalkeeper. In the game on January 21, 2012 he saw the red card after 50 seconds against Chemnitzer FC , this was the fastest red card of the 2011/12 season. The following two suspension games were the only games he missed that season. Heidenheim had the defense with the second few goals conceded this season and reached fourth place, the best placement in the club's history in professional football. On December 17, 2012 Lehmann dissolved his contract with 1. FC Heidenheim and left the club on December 31. From then on he played in the second team of Heidenheimer.

On August 31, 2013, Lehmann dissolved his contract in Heidenheim and, shortly before the end of the transfer phase, switched to league competitor VfL Osnabrück, with whom he signed a one-year contract, which was later extended to 2016. After four years at VfL Osnabrück , Lehmann moved to SV Elversberg in the Regionalliga Südwest . At the Kaiserlinde, Lehmann received a contract valid until summer 2019.

National team career

For the U-18 juniors , Lehmann completed two international matches against Turkey on November 14 and 16, 2006 , where he made his team debut in the first game by substituting for Mohamed Amsif and played the second game from the start.
