    Promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga

    Rot-Weiss Frankfurt only took fourth place in the group south in the subsequent round of promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga and thus missed promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga.

    German amateur championship

    As a Hessian representative, SpVgg Bad Homburg took part in the German Amateur Championship in 1990 and was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Rheydter SV .
