The 1974/75 season was the 19th season of the third-class Verbandsliga Westfalen . Champion Westfalia Herne , resulting in the following promotion round to 2. Bundesliga could prevail. TSG Harsewinkel and VfL Schlangen descended from group 1, BV Brambauer and TuS Hattingen from group 2 . No team was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga. From the national leagues , the amateurs of VfL Bochum and Teutonia Lippstadt rose to Group 1 of FC Gohfeld and Warendorfer SU and Group 2 of VfL Bad Berleburg .

Westphalia Championship

The two group winners determined the Westphalia champion in the two legs. The Games took place on May 10 and 14, 1975. Westfalia Herne prevailed and reached the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga , while Gütersloh took part in the German amateur championship.

Playoffs against relegation

The two third from bottom determined the fifth relegated from the Association League Westphalia in the return leg. The games took place on May 11th and 17th, 1975. Hüsten prevailed athletically. But since no Westphalian team was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga and Westfalia Herne was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga, the playoffs were meaningless and both teams remained in the association league.
