Football Coach of the Year (Scotland)
The best football coach of a season is honored annually in Scotland as coach of the year . The coach of the year by members of the Association of Scottish football journalists (Engl. Scottish Football Writers' Association , in short SFWA) elected and honored.
The most successful coach is Walter Smith , who has been voted Coach of the Year seven times. The first title holder was Jim McLean in 1987 . The first foreign title holder was the Northern Irishman Jimmy Nicholl in 1995.
