Guntersdorf is a market town with 1154 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Hollabrunn district in Lower Austria .
geography
Guntersdorf is located in the Weinviertel in Lower Austria. The area of the market town covers 28.41 square kilometers. 1.2 percent of the area is forested.

history
Wullersdorf was first mentioned in writing in 1108 or 1141. In the 13th century, Heiligenkreuz Abbey owned land in Guntersdorf. The festivals of the Ruckendorfer family were first mentioned in 1295. From 1301 to 1476 the area was owned by the Wallseer . During this time, in 1312, Guntersdorf was raised to a parish.
coat of arms
The coat of arms was on May 7, 2006 by the Lower Austrian provincial governor awarded. The blazon reads: "In blue over a red square wall with golden battlements, a six-pointed golden star ."

- The partner community is Guntersdorf in Hesse. It has belonged to the city of Herborn in Germany since 1971 .

- Theater Westliches Weinviertel : The theater has been based in Guntersdorf since 1987. Franziska Wohlmann is the founder and chairwoman. The independent theater group with its own house is Lower Austria's smallest theater with year-round theater. The program includes the areas of children's and youth theater, classics, tabloids and critical pieces by contemporary authors. Guest performances from the fields of theater and cabaret as well as musical events and readings are held again and again.
economy
In 2010 there were 57 agricultural and forestry operations in Guntersdorf. Of these, 34 were full-time farms that farmed 87 percent of the area. In 1999 there were a total of 87 farms and 45 full-time jobs. In the manufacturing sector, eight companies employed 43 people, around half of them manufacturing goods. The service sector employed 113 people in 38 companies, almost half in social and public services (as of 2011).

- Train: Guntersdorf is on the Nordwestbahn and has direct connections to Vienna, Retz and Znojmo .
- Street: In Guntersdorf, Thayatal Straße B30 branches off from Weinviertler Straße B303. The extension of the S3 Weinviertel expressway has been under construction since 2017 . It will have its own Wullersdorf exit and is expected to be completed in 2020.
