Gilbert C. Ross

Gilbert C. Ross (born June 5, 1878 in Gold Hill , Nevada , † October 9, 1947 in Reno , Nevada) was an American politician . Between 1911 and 1915 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Nevada.

Career

The sources on Gilbert Ross are very poor. What is certain is that he lived in Nevada at least for a time and was a member of the Democratic Party . Professionally, he was active in the education sector and as a businessman. He also held the office of State Bank Examiner in the meantime .

In 1910, Ross was elected lieutenant governor of Nevada alongside Tasker Oddie . He held this office between 1911 and 1915. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . During this time there was some resentment between the Republican Oddie and the Democrat Ross. After his time as Lieutenant Governor, his track is lost again.
