Brian K. Krolicki (born December 31, 1960 in Warwick , Rhode Island ) is an American politician . Between 2007 and 2015 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Nevada .

Career

Brian Krolicki attended Parkway West High School in Ballwin ( Missouri ) until 1979 . He then studied political science at Stanford University in California until 1983 . He then worked in the banking and finance industries in New York City , San Francisco and Bahrain . Politically, he joined the Republican Party . From 1990 to 1998 he was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury of Nevada; between 1999 and 2007 he was State Treasurer Treasurer of that state. In 2008 he was charged with irregularities in that office but acquitted.

In 2006 Krolicki was elected lieutenant governor of the state of Nevada on the side of Kenny Guinn . After being re-elected, he has held this office from 2007 until probably January 2015. He is Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . Since 2011 he has served under the new Governor Brian Sandoval . A re-election as vice governor in 2014 is not possible for constitutional reasons. Therefore, in January 2015, he had to relinquish his office to his elected successor, Mark Hutchison .
