The Goldsmith Channel ( German  "Goldsmith Canal" ) is an approximately 100 km long strait in the Canadian-Arctic archipelago , located in the Arctic Ocean , within the Canadian territory of Nunavut . It separates the Stefansson Island in the north of the to Victoria Island belonging Stockerson Peninsula in the south. It connects the Viscount-Melville-Sound in the northwest with the McClintock Canal in the southeast. The width of the Goldsmith Channel decreases in a funnel shape from northwest (around 15 km) to southeast with only a few hundred meters. The shallow water in this area contains numerous islands.

The strait is named after RAF pilot John Goldsmith († 2002), who made numerous discoveries in the Canadian Arctic from the air.
