Guermantes is a French commune with 1,147 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Torcy and the canton of Lagny-sur-Marne . Guermantes belongs to the Ville nouvelle Marne-la-Vallée . The inhabitants are called Guermantais .
geography
Guermantes is located about 30 kilometers east of Paris and covers an area of 126 hectares. Neighboring municipalities are Gouvernes in the northwest, Conches-sur-Gondoire in the northeast, Bussy-Saint-Georges in the east and south and Bussy-Saint-Martin in the west.
