Ozoir-la-Ferriere is a French municipality with 20,331 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Torcy and the Canton of Ozoir-la-Ferrière . The inhabitants are called Ozoiriens or Ozophoriciens .

history
During the French Revolution, the place was named Ozoir-la-Raison. The town only exceeded the mark of 1,000 inhabitants after the RER network had also reached Ozoir at the beginning of the 20th century, in the late 1920s.

Ozoir-la-Ferriere is on the RER E served. The municipality is on the Paris – Mulhouse railway line . The Route nationale 4 crosses Ozoir-la-Ferrière from Paris to Nancy .
