The Arrondissement Torcy is an administrative unit of the French departments of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . The main town (seat of the sub-prefecture ) is Torcy .

Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017
As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017, the Arrondissement Torcy became the area of the five municipalities Annet-sur-Marne , Claye-Souilly , Le Pin , Villeparisis and Villevaudé the Arrondissement Meaux and the area of the two municipalities Ferrières-en-Brie and Pontcarré assigned to the Arrondissement Provins .
Instead, the area of the seven municipalities of Brie-Comte-Robert , Chevry-Cossigny , Férolles-Attilly , Gretz-Armainvilliers , Lésigny , Servon and Tournan-en-Brie changed from the Arrondissement of Melun to the Arrondissement of Torcy.
Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2019
As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2019, the area of the two municipalities Villeneuve-le-Comte and Villeneuve-Saint-Denis from the Arrondissement Provins was assigned to the Arrondissement Torcy.
history
The Arrondissement of Torcy was established on February 26, 1993 to cope with population growth in the area. The sub-prefecture was initially in Noisiel and was moved to Torcy on April 30, 1994.
