Courtry was owned by Pierre d'Orgemont , Chancellor of King Charles V. It later belonged to the Angennes family, and in 1580 to the Baron de Monjouy. From the 17th century until the Revolution , Courtry was owned by the Mérigot de Sainte-Fère.
