Brou-sur-Chantereine is a French municipality with 4382 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . Brou-sur-Chantereine belongs to the Arrondissement of Torcy and the Canton of Villeparisis . The inhabitants are called Breuillois .
geography
Brou-sur-Chantereine is about 20 kilometers east of Paris . The river Chantereine runs through the area of the municipality and after around eight kilometers flows into the Marne or the parallel Canal de Chelles . Brou-sur-Chantereine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villevaudé in the north, Pomponne in the east, Vaires-sur-Marne in the south, Chelles in the west and Le Pin in the north-west.
