Coupvray is a French commune with 2,864 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France east of Paris . The people of Coupvray are called Cupressiens in French. Coupvray is part of the Ville nouvelle Marne-la-Vallée .

geography

The village of Coupvray is on the banks of the Marne Canal from Meaux to Chalifert . The aqueduct de la Dhuis, which was built in the Second Empire to supply Paris with water, runs through the municipality.
