Montévrain is part of the Torcy arrondissement and the Lagny-sur-Marne canton . Montévrain belongs to the Ville nouvelle Marne-la-Vallée . The inhabitants call themselves Montévinois .

geography

The Marne is the northern border of Montévrain. Montévrain is surrounded by Dampmart in the north, Chessy in the east, Serris in the south-east, Jossigny in the south, Chanteloup-en-Brie in the south-west, Lagny-sur-Marne in the west and Thorigny-sur-Marne in the north-west.
