Harvey Friedman (actor)

Harvey Friedman (born December 9, 1959 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania ) is an American film and stage actor .

Life

Harvey Friedman, whose parents came from Poland , studied acting at Carnegie-Mellon University and then began working in the theater. He came to Germany on a world tour with the Polish ensemble Teatr Kreatur . Here he settled in Berlin and in 2003 married the former dancer Cynthia Barcomi , who has been running a company for American cakes and coffee roasting since 1994. He has two children with her today. The family that lives in Berlin-Zehlendorf also includes two daughters of his wife's first marriage.

Friedman has also been in front of the camera as an actor since the mid-1980s. His repertoire ranges from international co-productions and television films to cinema productions. He made his first well-known film in 2003 when he played the Jewish musician Friedrich Hollaender in the television film Hitler - The Rise of Evil .

In addition to major film projects, Friedman also appeared in front of the camera as a guest actor in German television series, including Polizeiruf 110 and SOKO Leipzig .
