3rd stanza 50 Cent and The Game

Hate It or Love It is about social advancement from a criminal milieu to a celebrated rap star. In the first verse , 50 Cent tells about his childhood and youth in the ghetto , where he grew up without a father, dealt drugs and dreamed of being rich. In the chorus it says that the former underdogs are now at the forefront of rap, who no longer let themselves be beaten and therefore you should love or hate them.

"Hate it or love it, the underdog's on top
And I'm gon 'shine, homie, until my heart stop
Go' head envy me, I'm rap's MVP
And I ain't going nowhere, so you can get to know me "

- Excerpt from the chorus of Hate It or Love It

In the second verse, The Game raps about his criminal and violent past as a gang member of the Bloods in Compton , whereas he is now rich and owns expensive cars, clothes and jewelry. Finally, the third stanza deals with both sides of life. 50 Cent raps that there are not only winners but also many losers whose world is cold and full of pain. The Game says he took care of himself and his mother and that some people swim in riches while other children starved and abandoned. Finally, he thanks his mother for giving birth to him.
