Helena Rakoczy

Helena Rakoczy (born December 23, 1921 in Krakow ; † September 2, 2014 there ) was a Polish gymnast .

At the World Gymnastics Championships in Basel in 1950 , she won four gold medals and one bronze medal:

At the World Gymnastics Championships in Rome in 1954 , Rakoczy won a bronze medal each in the all-around and on the uneven bars. At the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne , she won the bronze medal in gymnastics with the team . After completing her active career, she worked as a trainer in Poland and the United States . She also acted as a gymnastics judge.

In 2004 she was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City as the most successful Polish gymnast .
