Herman H. Taylor

Herman Henry Taylor (born December 6, 1877 in Wisconsin , †  February 22, 1929 in Boise , Idaho ) was an American politician . Between 1913 and 1917 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Idaho.

Career

Nothing is known about Herman Taylor's youth and schooling. But he must have studied law because he later acted as a judge. He came to Idaho at an unknown time, where he embarked on a political career as a member of the Republican Party . In 1912 he was elected Lieutenant Governor of Idaho alongside John M. Haines . He held this office after a re-election between January 5, 1913 and January 1, 1917. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . From 1915 he served under the new governor Moses Alexander .

Herman Taylor served as a judge on the Idaho Supreme Court from 1925 until his death . He died in Boise on February 22, 1929. He had a daughter with his wife Katherine, who died in 1917.
