The Hessenpokal 2012 was the 67th staging of the men's soccer cup competition. The final took place on May 11, 2012 in the Sparda-Bank-Hessen-Stadion in Offenbach .

The cup winner receives the right to start the DFB-Pokal 2012/13 . If the cup winner has already qualified for the DFB Cup with one of the top four places in the 3rd division , the loser in the final is qualified for the DFB Cup.

No two teams from a club or a corporation are allowed to participate in the games for the DFB club cup.

Since the three Hessian third division teams have a right to start in the main draw, a qualification game was drawn between the six regional cup winners, which was played on February 25, 2012 between the regional division KSV Hessen Kassel and the Hessen division 1. FC Eschborn . Kassel won this game 7: 5 on penalties and qualified for the quarter-finals against SV Wehen Wiesbaden .
